SKEALS – OUR LOCAL STUDIES GROUP
The Spurn, Kilnsea and Easington Area Local Studies Group (Skeals) was formed in the summer of 2006 . It has a Management Committee and about 20 active members. The main aim of the group is to bring together people who are interested in local history, and especially that of our area, and support them in sharing their ideas and knowledge.
We encourage research and the collection and recording of material about the area. We usually meet monthly, usually on the 3rd Tuesday evening, for group meetings or talks which are open to all. We also arrange outings to places of interest. We have held some very popular exhibitions on local topics, and have produced a number of books, including village trails, which are available locally.
