What have the Parish Council been doing recently and ongoing projects?

2025 - 

Village Garden - The Parish Council is looking at ways to improve the accessibility and overall facilities in the 'Village Garden', we are hoping to have some new Seating, cut back overgrown Bushes and Trees and Plant shrubs and flowering plants in other areas to provide a more usable area for the residents of the Parish.

Bus Shelter - Dimlington Road - The Parish Council is looking at ways to improve the Shelter which was built in 1975, and is in need of repair - East Riding of Yorkshire Council is currently offering funding toward Bus Shelters in the Town and Parishes in the area.  Easington Parish Council has sent an 'EXPRESSION OF INTEREST' and are waiting to see if we have been successful in securing funding for a new Bus Shelter.

Kilnsea Phone Box - Due to a lack of calls from the phone box outside the Crown and Anchor and the conversion of all phone lines to Digital,  BT have notified us that the phone box at Kilnsea will become obsolete at the end of 2025.  The Parish Council has agreed to 'Adopt' this phone box with the intention of moving the Defibrillator from its current location into the phone box where it will be more visible.

2024 -

Arranged the installation of an additional Litter Bin on Hull Road Easington.

Removed the Citizen Link Kiosk

Replaced a bench in the Cemetery with one with Recyclable Materials

 

Grass Cutting Tender 2023

The Grass Cutting Tender has been awarded to Yorkshire and Humber Ground Maintenance - this company has carried out the work for the previous 2 years and the contract has been awarded for a 3 year period.
