To support all of the above the general running costs of the building, and keeping the external areas maintained amount to around £4,000 per annum.  This figure does not include any repairs of the building which may be required, maintenance of the play park, replacement of any play park equipment, or replacement of any other equipment which is required from time to time.  In addition it does not include training costs of volunteers.

Fund raising events are organised by the volunteers and young people of the Youth Club throughout the year – Coffee mornings, Fun Days, Xmas Fayre, Sponsored Walks/Bike Rides/Silences, Community Help Days etc.

The young people also support their community with logging/gardening days for the elderly, beach cleans, helping at Church, School and Community events and many more.

The Youth Club provides social contact, support and a safe haven for both adults, children and young people in a community which is losing so many of the valuable facilities needed to sustain a vibrant and diverse community.

We know this from the consultations that are regularly taken using participatory appraisal with the young people and adults to support a programme activities that are young people led.

The play park is used regularly by families.  For the teenagers it is their chill out corner.
